It all started on a warm summer day, while playing the second hole of golf, and it dominated the conversation of these four long-time friends for the rest of the day. How could they share with their family and friends the good times, the great food, and superb wine they experience when business takes them to far parts of the country? Having traveled extensively, they knew Albuquerque was missing "that one" signature place; the place that everyone knew was the best; a place that would say more about your taste in foods and wine that the name on the door.
Together these golfing buddies created The Chophouse where you can enjoy great chops, the finest steaks, and beautiful wines in a relaxing neighborhood setting. These four UNM alumni knew that to be the best at what you do, you must first create, develop, and find the finest and most talented team of managers, culinarians, servers, bartenders, and support staff that would rival the finest restaurants anywhere.
The focal point of our restaurant is our specially constructed, temperature controlled wine cellar. Our Wine Cellar features personalized wine lockers.
